As I’ve mentioned to you all before, I’ve recently started using various products and workouts (at home) to reach my goals of weight loss, last week, I hit a slump, I only lost 1lb and that devastated me, granted, it was partially my fault, because at the time I was relying on exercise from my ZUMBA via the Wii, but the remote wouldn’t last week and since I felt horrible about not losing as much weight as I’d hoped, I didn’t bother to MAKE the Wii work. Don’t get me wrong, ZUMBA is awesome and its definitely a challenge that I was up to, it kept me moving and I knew I was burning calories because I was sweating. But honestly, I felt like I couldn’t keep up with it, I was doing something wrong, in spite of that though, I was committed to using it as a tool to achieve my weight-loss goals and I will not give up just yet on it.
But since I hadn’t done anything from Wednesday of last week, I did some searching around my home and located the Women’s Health Total Body Workout DVD that I received as a free gift with purchase, when I bought “Look Better Naked!, which I have not tried yet. Let me just say that I didn’t realize it was going to be a full DVD! Which is awesome, from a warm-up, cardio & cool down, strength & cool down, and that’s as far as I’ve gotten in just two days. The DVD does have more that I am going to explore very soon. The warm up is simply to get your heart rate moving, and then the cardio keeps you in motion all the while, you can feel your muscles working, I felt like it focused a lot on burning fat and legs (which is totally important to me), all of the women on the video are toned and firm and usually that makes me cringe, but the atmosphere that it provides is relaxed and encouraging. The Strength workout you are supposed to use 5lb weight dumbbells. Which I don’t own so I used the 3lb dumbbells I had on hand and they seem to do the trick, again, there are a lot of squats, lunges, pushups, and arm, shoulder, chest, legs, and buttocks exercises. All the while utilizing these dumbbells, I can actually say for the most part, that I felt each and every body parts muscles being utilizing and just after two days, my body has been completely worked out.
If you are in a for an empowering challenge, if you are tired of the same old routine, if walking isn’t working, if you are just sick and tired of those regular boring exercise DVDs I highly recommend looking into their website, it provides helpful tips, exercises, anything you can think of to whet your get healthy, be fit appetite: Women’s Health Magazine I’ve recently signed up to be a “member” of their site and know that there is lots to explore and learn, but I’m looking forward to embracing something that will help me be a better me. I signed up for Eversave a while back and got a $3 dollar credit for joining, yesterday I learned that they had a subscription to Women’s Health Mag for $8 dollars, so I got it for $5 dollars for ten issues. You can also review and purchase all of the exercise videos that they have to help you get into shape at: Women’s Health DVDs, I’m thinking my next purchase will be the “Total Workout In Ten”.
I hope that you all will look into it, consider it, or anything that motivates you for you! I feel happy, I feel proud, I’m excited, I actually come to work feeling good about myself, my accomplishments (finishing the workout), and actually feel like my goal is obtainable, or that I am making a grave effort to make it happen for me! Nothing is better than that!
