Last week I began sharing my Self-Love Journey here on Immutable Ramblings. I spoke about Becoming Myself and the Spell It Out Traveler’s Notebook from Red Pen Travelers that I’d be using to document my journey. Toni from Red Pen Travelers sent me two inserts from Taroko Design. One was an undated planner and the other was a blank kraft paper notebook. This week I decided that I wanted to “outfit” my traveler’s notebook with some additional inserts, after seeing some unique designs on Instagram. But the cost and the shipping made me rethink purchasing. So why not try to DIY my own Traveler’s Notebook Inserts?
DIY Traveler’s Notebook Inserts
These inserts are actually not very hard to create, a little time consuming yes, but relatively easy. I created two versions. One is fille with graph paper while the other is a Mixed Media Traveler’s Notebook. The pages include mixed media paper, vellum, copy paper, and lined scrapbook paper.

Paper (any desired)

Note: This Spell It Out Traveler’s Notebook in Cadet Blue is a personalize size. The personal size inserts measure (when flat), 7 1/2 wide and 6 3/4 long.
Score your scrapbook paper at 7/12 wide and 6 3/4 long. (Depending on what size insert you’re wanting to make, adjust accordingly.
Using your paper trimmer, cut out at your score marks.
Next, score your paper at the marks.
Using your paper trimmer, cut at score marks. I did mine in two steps, because I wanted the curved and frayed edges off.
Next score both your cover and your inner pages at the 3 3/4 line wide. Fold pages in half long ways.
See that overhang, we’re going to need to use our paper trimmer to make it flush with the cover.
Lastly, use your stapler at the score line to bind the pages to the cover. One at the top, the middle and the bottom. My stapler has a line on it that shows where the staple will pierce the paper, so I was able to align it fairly easily.
That’s it, you’re done. Your very own personalized Traveler’s Notebook Inserts. FREE, no shipping required, because I already had all the materials at home.
I’m so excited to begin documenting my self-love journey and sharing it with you. See me back here each week to get an update.
